Aveiro, Portugal, is thrilled to host the WCRC 2024 World Finals this September. In partnership with Universidade de Aveiro (UA) and Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), we invite university students to challenge themselves by developing a CanSat—a mini-satellite within a soda can. This unique competition emphasizes the integration of essential satellite subsystems into a limited space, testing design, telemetry, recovery, and navigation skills. This year, Aveiro introduces an innovative challenge: designing a CanSat that can safely land in water, aiming to protect our oceans from debris and promote water-resistant technology. Set in the scenic city known as the 'Venice of Portugal,' the competition is limited to 10 teams, ensuring an intense and inspiring experience.
